Product Manager Thom C. Blackwell will present the Webinar on May 21 titled, "Using Scripting Tools with Meditech 5.6 / 6.x." You can register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/673523177. Boston Software Systems will also be demonstrating its connection to the new MEDITECH platforms at the 2009 International MUSE Conference, Booth #629, May 26-29 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The half-hour in-booth demos are scheduled for May 26 at 9:45 a.m., May 27 at 9 a.m. and May 28 at 9 a.m. Most MEDITECH hospitals are using scripting tools to automate many of the manual tasks and workflows in their facilities. In the new MEDITECH platforms, the important dynamic-link library (.dll), which allows most scripting tools to connect with MEDITECH, has been removed. Hospitals have not been able to automate workflow as they have in the past, which puts an enormous strain on the staff as automated tasks must be handled manually. "Solution providers to MEDITECH hospitals are working to ensure their products will operate reliably in the new MEDITECH environments," said Bobby Zimmerman, assistant vice president of channel sales for The SSI Group. "When SSI Group was considering a partner to provide automation in a new product offering, we chose Boston Software Systems. They proved to us that Boston WorkStation is successful at automating tasks within the MEDITECH Client Server 5.6 and 6.0 environments." In his presentation, Mr. Blackwell will demonstrate how Boston WorkStation connects with the new MEDITECH platforms, and how hospitals are successfully using the scripting tool as they test and go live with the MEDITECH Client/Server 5.6 and 6.x platforms. "Boston WorkStation has been the leading provider of scripting technology to MEDITECH hospitals for many years," said Blackwell. "We have been working closely with the early adopters of MEDITECH 5.6 and 6.0 to make sure that the scripting technology they have come to rely on will still connect to MEDITECH, and that they can continue to experience the time and cost savings benefits of task automation in years to come."
