SHERBORN, MA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - Boston Software Systems, the leader in workflow automation technology to the healthcare market, today added Scott Burkey as a member of the business development team. Burkey will be responsible for managing and developing new partner relationships that will extend the use of Boston Software Systems' flagship technology, Boston WorkStation™.

Prior to joining Boston Software Systems, Burkey was most recently an enterprise account manager in the North America Commercial Core division at Sybase, Inc. in Raleigh, N.C., where his sales team ranked first in revenue achievement in 2006 and through Q1 2007. At Sybase, Burkey managed such leading accounts as Bank of America, Wachovia, FedEx, Nielsen Media, Lowe's and Fannie Mae.
Prior to Sybase, Burkey worked in sales and marketing at pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim and at surgical device manufacturers C.R. Bard and Apple Medical Corporation. Burkey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing at The Ohio State University and has completed numerous sales training courses.
