The Regional Shared Health Information Program (RSHIP) of Alberta Canada has selected Boston Software Systems™ workflow automation and integration tool, Boston WorkStation as the standard scripting technology for use in the Health Region member facilities. The RSHIP adopts common standards with the goal of improving the quality of patient care, sharing information where appropriate, and maximizing resources throughout the province. The seven Health Regions in Alberta represent over 100 facilities and over 6,000 beds encompassing acute care, continuing care, and public health needs, and are responsible for delivering patient care to more than one million Albertans.
Members of RSHIP include Chinook Health Region, Palliser Health Region, David Thompson Health Region, East Central Health, Aspen Regional Health Authority, Peace Country Health, and Northern Lights Health Region.
“We are pleased to be selected by the Regional Shared Health Information Program in Alberta to extend their integration and automation capabilities,” said Steve Cohen, executive vice president of Boston Software Systems. “Boston WorkStation’s integration capabilities offer the RSHIP members a powerful tool for achieving the goals of both the province and the Pan-Canadian Health Infostructure Initiative.”
