Data Parsing Applications
Boston WorkStation users are able to quickly parse specific data required from application files such as: Excel®, Word® or Access®; from complex files such as HL7, EDI and XML; from print streams and delimited or fixed length files.
DataStation's data parsing tool automatically breaks files into records and the records into fields; provides default names of the fields and allows them to be renamed; allows on-the-fly reformatting of the field contents, both in the script and in DataStation's editor; attaches additional variables and notes to each record; and prepares customizable status reports on the file.
