User: Dwight Clevenger, Senior Systems Analyst
Dwight Clevenger is using Boston WorkStation™ in many different ways throughout his organization. He looks to his Boston WorkStation scripts to reliably run unattended in a number of different departments.

Automated archiving.  Running reports for archiving is time-consuming and easily skipped. To ensure the reports are run and archived in an accurate and timely way, Dwight developed a simple script to run unattended on a daily basis.

Payroll updates.  Tracking and applying individual employee deduction amounts is simplified with a Boston WorkStation script. Once a week it automatically connects to an outside payroll vendor via the Internet, transfers the file via FTP, parses it, and uploads it to HBOwem for payroll processing.

Expediting updates.  Throughout the organization, regular updates are required for peak operation. Boston WorkStation has been used to develop the scripts that enter price changes and item changes to the FIM and SIM; updates physician files with correct addresses with proper zip codes as obtained from the post office; and regular general ledger master updates.
