Sara McNeil, president, is responsible for managing the financial functions at the Company. She has worked in the medical software industry for 18 years at Boston Software and predecessor companies. Prior to founding Boston Software Systems, Ms. McNeil’s career was focused on product development, management and marketing in the consumer products industry. She was Director of US Marketing for Polymer Technology, a division of Bausch and Lomb where she managed the national launch of a new contact lens product line. Prior to working at Bausch and Lomb, Ms. McNeil worked for Gillette where she developed, launched and managed the Silkience Conditioner and Foamy Gel product lines. Ms. McNeil earned a BA in Chemistry at Mount Holyoke College, a MS in Medicinal Chemistry from Northeastern University, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Rich McNeil is responsible for the vision and future direction of Boston Software Systems’ technology and products. He has been developing medical software since 1980 and has been the critical driver for the Company’s easy-to-use, agile software design. Prior to founding Boston Software Systems and its predecessor companies, Mr. McNeil was a consultant at Temple, Barker and Sloan, a provider of management consulting for a variety of industries. Mr. McNeil is a nuclear engineer and served 4 years in the Navy as an officer aboard nuclear submarines. He graduated with a BA in Physics from Dartmouth College and earned an MBA at the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Ken Carter oversees and manages the development of Boston WorkStation and UNISON, including enhancements, new features and capabilities. Ken's experience in software technology across the healthcare, financial, manufacturing and commercial industries, as well as his keen business leadership, is invaluable to the continued growth of Boston Software Systems as as we continue to expand our product line and partnerships. Prior to joining Boston Software Systems, Carter founded a successful start-up software integration and consulting company called Strategic Product Integration, Inc (SPII) in Atlanta, GA. Under his strategic technical vision and business leadership, the company experienced dramatic growth in size and sales, and after 5 years, SPII merged with a business intelligence (BI) organization forming a company called Obvient Strategies.
Steve Cohen is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Boston Software Systems sales, marketing, training and support professionals. He oversees all direct and channel partner sales and the strategic business alliance program. Throughout his career in the healthcare IT industry, Steve has held a number of sales and business development positions. Most recently, Steve served as Director, Healthcare Channel Sales for Sybase. Prior to Sybase, Steve maintained sales and business development roles as Vice President at New Era of Networks, Inc. and Vice President, Sales at MicroScript Corporation.
Pete Bromann is responsible for the development and management of sales, and brings more than 14 years experience in healthcare sales and management to Boston Software Systems. He previously served as Director of Healthcare at Sybase where he was responsible for maintaining direct and channel sales, as well as the business development focus of the vertical and strategic alliance partner relationships. Prior to that, Pete was the Healthcare National Sales Manager for Sybase, responsible for the execution of the HIPAA and integration Health Plans strategy. Pete has also worked with Boston Scientific and Carter Wallace in business development and sales management positions.
Margaret Mayer directs Boston Software Systems' marketing activities, including market strategy, field and technical marketing, marketing communications and public relations. Margaret comes to Boston Software Systems from New Era of Networks, where she was responsible for all marketing communications initiatives as Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Prior to New Era of Networks, Margaret was Vice President Marketing for MicroScript Corporation, where she directed the marketing efforts of this healthcare integration products company.
April Gianoli, is responsible for managing and developing the Company’s support and training departments. April is a 25-year veteran of the information technology industry bringing a unique combination of business savvy, technical know-how and the knowledge-base that comes from working with one of the leading healthcare service companies in the world. Prior to joining Boston Software Systems, April spent more than 10 years at McKesson Corporation, where she served in a variety of technical support, service and development positions, most recently as director of Installation Services. A major focus area in each of her prior engagements was her ability to create strategic best practices across the board for McKesson.
