Updating Charge Codes
Eastern CT Health Network operates lab draw stations throughout eastern CT, each taking advantage of Boston WorkStation for its outpatient lab accounts. Prior to automating the process, employees would work with medical records to abstract every account by manually typing in a diagnosis provided by a doctor or updating charge codes in the different sites. By automating the abstracting needs of its outpatient labs, ECHN reduced the staff time devoted to this workflow to less than one day.
